Recently My TS was hanging, & the culprit was the HD.

So I got a SD to IDE card adaptor, instead of going for an IDE HD which looks like this

https://www.amazon.in/Optimal-Shop-Digital-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00DGNYXQ0?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=5a3026dc-0ab4-41a2-b00d-89978f65f522

I formatted a 8GB SD card to FAT32 with my Mac's native Drive utility & tested it. But as of now TS is not recognising. I am trying to troubleshoot it.

Luckily, the TS boots with it, slow though, but doesn't show up in the list of Disks. Also the power light on the adaptor lights up while powering the TS. just that the TS is not recognising it.

I also checked the adaptor (with the SD card in it) by connecting it to my MAC through another USB connecting HD enclosure & the SD card is shown on the MAC. So am sure the Adaptor is working.

Has anyone tried it & got it working. Wondering if am doing anything wrong?

So, the above SD to IDE adaptor is not working with the TS OS. The adaptor itself is working with the desktop. So its some software compatibility issue with these convertors.

Now, after this stunt, & surfing SCSI options to no solution, I will go safe & go with an old IDE HD. Hope any IDE would work.

I wish there was an USB Floppy drive emulator, bcoz of TS's odd size its a pain to find the right one, would like if anyone found the right one.
