With the recent update the yamaha montage finally seems back on track with the motif where it comes to daw controll.... or even surpassed the Motif XF as well as the Kronos by a huge mile..

I really like what Yamaha did here, Korg should have a look at it..

I think With the continuous updates Yamaha 2 prooves 2 things..
When the Montage released it was just a prototype of their future plns
The continuous updates tough makes the Montage more and more a contender to the Kronos.

Looking forward to the Montage 2, or whatever its called..
Seems like they have created a great platform
All they need to do is add a VA and a VL engine..

Hi,

Yamaha now have an IdeaScale page, so maybe you might wish to join and vote on Add an AN and VL synthesis engine to the Montage idea .

I wouldn't quite see it as a competitor the Kronos either. They both have quite different characteristics and features, and the Kronos still kicks butt in the number of engines.

I am still not sure that Yamaha have designed the Montage from the outset to add additional engines, but time will tell....

Pretty basic DAW control. You can't set markers or move to any marker. I've been thinking about an X Touch lately.
