|
|
Hi, I have had a Kross for about a year. Suddenly the
Keyboard jumps an octave without touching any controls.
I can hit a single note repetitively and each time
it may be at a different octave interval.
Anything I can do to correct? Is this a defective keyboard?
Basically I can’t play it until corrected and have several upcoming
Gigs so it’s a big issue.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome.
Sorry to hear of your problem.
Can I clarify that yours is a Kross 1
As I understand it the Kross 2 was announced on 1st Sept 2017
And are you using the latest Firmware? _________________ Biggles

That must have been annoying (unless you got a great deal), buying a Kross 1 only for the Kross 2 to be announced a very short while later.
Have you tried a full reset?
Do remember to fully back up the system prior to undertaking a reset. _________________ Biggles

Does the octave shift happen on any Program or Combi? Does changing the Program or Combi restore the shift.
It is possible to make a Program do this intentionally.
If it happens to piano Programs, which would be expected not to octave shift, then it would seem to be a fault with the keyboard. It may be down to internal inter-board connections serving the keybed needing to be reseated, or faulty SW1 or SW2 buttons making contact even when not pressed (but only if these have been assigned to shift octave up or down) and if that were the case the pitch shift would reset when the Program was changed. |
