Korg Forums A forum for Korg product users and musicians around the world. Moderated Independently. Owned by Irish Acts Recording Studio & hosted by KORG USA
It depicts some thoughts around the first manned journey to Mars, which I recon will happen in a few decades. Style is progressive rock/metal.
All the keys except the soft analog leads are played on the Kronos. Vocals, guitar and bass is me, and drums are programmed in Reaper.
Thanks for listening
I'm a SPACE exploration 'enthusiast' and a huge Progressive Rock fan, so enjoyed your song for both reasons!
The only part that could've been developed better was 3:18 - 4:30 . By then you had already done multiple thin to thick and slow to fast transitions so this was the time for the soft lead to shine and be more adventurous. After all that's what your song is all about. That lead section was more like looking at the moon with a telescope.
I liked everything else. That piano part worked real well. You could've even given something more to it.
In any case, it sounds great. _________________ Sam

Thanks a lot Sam, I really appreciate the feedback!
The thing I was trying to relay in that softer section was the feeling of floating in zero G, so the idea was that the two analog leads would be rather mellow and "floating", but you might be on to something and it might benefit from a bit more dexterity
I must say though, your own piano playing is nothing short of superb! It is very nimble but also very dynamic, and an overall pleasure to listen to. _________________ Gear: Korg Kronos 2 73, Arturia Microbrute & MiniBrute 2, Moog Mother-32, Ibanez RG320DXFM Guitar, ESP Viper 254FM Bass, Blackstar HT-1

I'm sure another 5000 users would disagree with me, so this could totally be one's personal taste. I think if you turn this into a music video, those Zero G & floating ideas would make even more sense. This song has a sound track quality to it for sure.
....and thanks for the comment. _________________ Sam
