Hi.
I need a small, 7 inch? Screen to use on stage so the vocalist can read the lyrics. Has anyone any suggestions as to the best type to buy. It really needs to be mountable on a mic stand or similar.

Hey Rob
Do you mean a screen connected to your PA keyboard?
In which case a 7" with RCA might be hard to find - I use an old 17" (square type) screen but definitely wouldn't mount on a mic stand .....
On the other hand for just displaying lyrics, an iPad or tablet would be the best solution.
I play in a 22-piece big band and they're all using "tablet" apps for music now.
Cheers

Thanks Pete. I need to be able to display the lyrics on screen for the vocalist
1. Can I connect a Samsung tablet?
2. Can I use a small tv screen?
3. Can I use a computer screen?
Be very grateful for your help. There's lots I don't understand about the type of video output that the PA 4x uses.

Hi, I´m not Pete, but trying to give you a few answers anyway
1. NO. You can connect neither an iPad nor a Android-tablet to your PA4X, because all these devices don´t have a "video-in".
2. If the TV-Screen has an "RCA-Input" ( yellow-plug ) you should be able to use it. Also a 21-pin SCART-connector CAN work ( if the internal pins of the tv are connected, often tey´re not )
3. NO. You have to use a "RCA to VGA-adaptor". For that money just buy a cheap tablet. The only disadvantage is, that then your singer needs to switch manually the text-file.
4. A much better ( but more expensive ) solution is using an iPad with the "songbook+"-software ( 45€). The PA4X can switch it and vice versa.
If you´ve got 2 iPad one can act as "master" and switch the 2nd one as well as the PA4X ( Songbook-entries ). As far as I´ve heard an appropriate software for android is "On song", but I had no chance to try it. _________________ Greetings from East-Frisia, Germany

Re the previous post regarding ipad, are the iPad and Pa4 connected by a lead or is there some magical way that they are both connected to Wifi? _________________ PA1xpro/Korg O1w fd/pa4x76 Roland rd800 pk5 bass pedals and numerous useless amps mixers and othe bits of junk from the past |
