Hello friends! Does anybody have the time and kindness to tell me how to permanently store my "over the joystick" button preferences? Every time I switch the piano off, it goes back to the useless factory selections. Pls don't answer "read the manual" |

Press Shift then the button you want to programme.
From the drop down menu select what feature you want the button to have then select Save.
If this does not work read the manual, its all to easy to ask a question for someone else to read the manual and then tell you want to do and that is not exactly respectful of others. _________________ Biggles

no you do not need to read the manual
but
you must look at the picture ,on page 815 ,,and make sure your lock is (Lock ) and now ,, Write the changes to a keyboard Set ,,, drop down menu..
this works for me , no matter what , song or mp3 or midi or style , or songbook I play my ASSIGNABLE SWITCHES stay the same and you can set it up to change with each Keyboard Set if you like ..
on page 836 ,
Go to the Global > General Controls > Lock > Control page.
Lock == ASSIGNABLE SWITCHES

ASSIGNABLE SWITCHES is Part of Keyboard Set, then when you Turn ON your Korg is loading My Setting Keyboard Set.
If in Global Is Lock on Switches is stay while you changing, if not is follow individually on each Keyboard Set.
Korg Pa700 on page 38 wrote: | The My Setting Keyboard Set
My Setting is a special Keyboard Set, where you can save your preferred
settings for things like Keyboard Sounds, Effects, Assignable Switches, a
Style to be selected on startup. This Keyboard Set is automatically chosen
when the instrument is turned on, and will automatically configure the instrument
for you.
Writing the My Setting Keyboard Set
Keep the MY SETTING button pressed for about one second, until the Write
dialog appears, then touch the OK button to confirm saving to memory.

Before Set your My Setting change Assignment for Switches!! _________________ Nemik

Thank you ALL for your kind help! Dear Biggles I do not mean to be disrespectful, there are no such intentions in our forum. Unfortunately, the manual is in electronic format. If Korg was supplying it in a hard copy, I would study it in bed like a book. However, printing out 1000 pages is not exactly practical. Some people can read a book on screen, but for me it doesn't work fast enough. Thanks again fellow musicians! |

Digitally manuals is much better if you know tricks.
Use Search option on document.
Example if you search: Assignable Switches, then show you only texts including your search, no have to scroll 1000 Pages. _________________ Nemik

Indeed, but I am over 50, and I guess I belong to the analog era I come from classic pianos, I get lost with all the computer thingies... Programming my PA-1000 is as simple to me as flying a Boeing , |
