I have the Korg Kross 2 and have noticed that when I load .PCG and .SNG files from the SD card, all of my Favorites are then erased. I always "write favorites" so that they are saved, so I'm confused why they then disappear only when I load in other saved data. This occurs both when I choose "Append" or "Clear" for the .SNG Allocation.

My Favorites function saves everything properly when I just use that function on its own but as soon as I load in a song, they get erased.

Please help! Thank you.

A PCG contains a full "snapshot" of the memory contents; this is why your Favorites disappear, they are being overwritten.

A PCG contains:

- Programs
- Combinations
- Global settings (including Favorites)
- Arpeggio patterns
- Drum kits
- Song templates

A solution is to keep one "main" PCG of your own and save only SNG files.

It's a bit of a bummer, but you can rather see it as a powerful feature, as you're note really limited to the Kross' memory.
