The Apple Mac startup chime on quite a few of the Macs, until the Macbook Pro, was a modified Sandman patch on the Wavestation Ex.

Tony Banks of Genesis, when Phil Collins was with them, playing the Wavestation extensively, especially from around 5:30 into the video, in Dance on a Volcano/Firth of Fifth:
