depends on requirements- assuming if a keyboardist thinks that way.

FWIW, I need realistic high quality acoustic instruments inc. Orchestra.

I believe thats a strength of Yamaha, esp MODX, and assumedly I can appreciate/hear that strength vs the PA

Plus I don't care much for arrangers.

And it would be fairly easy to add Omnisphere later.

I thought you were totally sold on Kronos. Are you fishing around to add more gear ?

ok. I was not clear. I know some have no problem with gear overlap.

IMO, since you are keeping your K, you would have the most redundancy with adding a PA.

The MODX would add a totally new approach to your K2. And Cubase is an excellent platform for recording. I happen to think this would be a strong combination of gear and keep you busy for some years.

I think its a good move. You should research their midi implementation. Often discussed.

I would also dig around for a Yamaha video on their DAW implementation

I believe its something ' on the way ' vs currently implemented.

Getting comfortable with the Yamaha UI, navigation, controls is also a task.
(speaking with little experience with Motif)
