Let me share with you all the Mod I have made on my Volca Sample. These small coloured knob caps fit almost perfectly with (any) Volca's knobs and give a much greater feedback / grip / view of the knob position.

I bought them from Thonk UK: https://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/micro-knobs/

Here is the procedure for mounting the knobs using only standard little pieces of foiled paper to make the caps fit nicely without "sliding" of position:

Have fun!

Nice one! Cheers for sharing that. Only thing I can fault with the idea is the knobs won't illuminate to indicate parameter but that's not really that bad. Does any of the light bleed out the bottom of the cap?

No. With these knob caps the dim light coming from the Volca pots does not show. To me there is no problem with that.

CORRECTION: Only the grey and black caps are opaque. Which means that:

RED
DARK RED
YELLOW
ORANGE

all are transparent to light sources and let see the knob light underneath !

Cool! Not that if they did block all the light would it be a problem, but it's nice to have flashing lights on hitech instruments (well hitech-ish in this case Wink).

Got me an SQ-1 the other month and I'm really hating not being able to glance at it and know where the dials are set. I love the lights and don't want to lose them by capping them, though also I want to at least make it look stylish if I am to mark them myself, which using a permanent texta to draw a line down them will not achieve.
Gonna look for some transparent caps I think.

they stock nice small pots, for anyone brave enough
to do the osc volume on the Bass.

also, nice small jack sockets that can sit in the bottom of the
case.(regular ones won't fit without trimming)

gets a bit pricey compared to chinese stock suppliers though.

oh, er, melting the pot shaft is really easy, don't worry about that...
Confused

i'm also getting quite a bit of noise on the individual outs.
i have to redo the wiring some time, i think.
ring noise isn't that fantastic or useful, and the snare point
i used (the little one, not factory labelled) is quite quiet
compared to the others.

i was wondering if some shielded wire might be better, or if
i just have too much/too long wire in there now.(but it works..)

strange behaviour on individual volume, on the indiv outs.
it goes from full to off, by the look of things.

i have the Bass open now, so i'll do some of those outputs,
see what happens. any tips on that? is there *any* way to
send external signal INTO the VCF?
