As a church pipe organist I am blown away with these sounds (ie Listen to the Promenade from Pictures at an Exhibition- Mussorgsky on the Korg official Demo Soundcloud website)

https://exit.sc/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.korg.com%2Fpa4x_v2%2F

Although I not an owner yet of PA4X I am seeking the opinion of others who are using these classical pipe organ tones and in particular how they mix (layer) with one another as you would draw and build up individual stops on a real pipe organ simulating 8' +4' +2' etc...

Hi Mitzi

There is no specific pipe organ emulation/configuration on the PA4X (like the DRAWBAR organ) however there are enough variations to satisfy me (love pipe organ) but I am not a pipe organist and so my views are of course subjective.

A company called "PAXMAGIC" produced a set for the PA4X of dedicated pipe organ settings, however, since that was released, Korg have done as much with V2 of the OS.

This is pretty much in V2 now.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_hSIKqEckY

Don't know if this helps at all

Cheers

Thanks Pete

I know about PXMagic which is good but the Korg Demo and registrations is just such a realistic sound and keeps me listening to it again and again and in my opinion is as good as any sound that can be put out from a real pipe organ.

Similarly I know from other Pa4X players that some of the guitar sounds achievable on the Pa4x are as good as real.

Now I am beginning to understand what people say about the Pa4X that its a 'live and real' 'board compared with other TOTL keyboard manufacturers

A cathedral organ player can't be based on preset sounds that a sound developer without the skills of a church organ player ,
will create because he needs all "stoppers" to be accesible for realtime mix of timbres.
A serious lack of Paseries flagships that are supplied with sliders , is that sliders can't be assigned with OSC Amp , so factory
preset organ drawbars can not be emulated in 8 sliders with custom decent samples of real organs like Cathedral Pipe Organs
in the unbeatable WavesArt Kronos EXs Vintage Keyboards Suite that all stoppers are assigned to sliders.
WavesArt has also used those Pipe Organ sample resources in Pa3/4 Vintage Organs sound library , where except subjective
preset KBD sets you can select among all natural "stoppers" of SOUNDs and create the specific pipe organ registration you actually need.
