Hello,

I want to do what follows : playing VST instruments (or standalone) and recording them (or sample them) into the Kronos and not inside the computer.
Not to loose any sound quality, I don't want to use analog entries but digital entries only.

Do you know what are the different ways to do that ?

Thanks a lot.

Yes but there are three usb inputs on the backside, 2 USB-A and one USB-B.
Wich usb inputs match the USB 1/2 input ?

Ok Thank you.

But on the Audio interface, we have two USB inputs (1 and 2) and there is only one USB-B. So, from where is coming the USB input 2 ?

I think it is simply that 1 = left and 2 = right.

Easy that USB-B runs 2 mono audio lines through the one USB cable.
There are devices that channel far more than that.
Same USB cable handles the sixteen midi channels while at it, and that includs channeling note and control data in the same stream.

The wonders of digital world. I was confused looking at an 8 channel audio interface that was linked to virtual tracks doing them all together and keeping them isolated.

Thank you. It's more clear now.

Before asking here, I always search in the Parameter Guide. And I didn't find any details about that subject.

The only reference to that question stands in a diagram, page 23, where we can see, USB-B L and USB-B R.
