Well, even though I'm not a guitarist, I've been playing guitar in the past and I remember well that the guitar sound depends on many factors.
I don't speak of body, wood, electronics, and so on. I'm just speaking of the way the guitarist is playing and the different ways with wich he's playing one note : in a solo, sometimes we use the pick, sometimes not, we just hammer on a fret. (it's just an example) And of course, that creates two very different sounds. That what gives aliveness and richness to the sound.

Classical bend is easy to do on a keyboard, but creating a realistic solo with this realistic approach is very difficult.

It is this kind of realism I don't find on guitar sound banks for Kronos.
Kronos tempts to recreate this inside the STR-1 engine, with its "Pluck" part of the sound. But I'm not really convinced.

I have to agree, I only buy banks where i can hear each program played without any backing to hear to true tone etc. I'm sure there are some great sounds in there but I don't download demos either because space is so tight now in my machine its a pain to clear out banks to load a demo.
