Hi will some of you please, please look at this and help me switch from my PaAs speaker to an external speaker (yet to purchase) say for example Korg Konnect. I want to keep them both so have looked at manual to save you time. To sum up I want to switch between my PaAS speaker and external speakers. Trust me I have read the manual but still need your help.

Please see below.

Connecting the audio outputs
Connect the audio outputs as described in Connecting the audio outputs on page 17. If installed, the (optional) PaAS amplification system will work in parallel with the main audio outputs.
500| Audio In/Out and the Voice Processor
Choosing the audio outputs for the microphone and line audio inputs
You can send the signal entering the AUDIO INPUTS to the main outputs, or to the auxiliary sub-ouputs. By default, the main LEFT and RIGHT audio outputs are selected. ▪ Go to the Global > Audio & Video > Audio In page, and use the Audio Out parameter to choose the audio output pairs.
audio Out Meaning Left+Right Main LEFT and RIGHT outputs Out1+2 Separate 1 and 2 sub-outputs
Sending the microphone or line audio input to the PaAS
To send the desired audio input signal to the PaAS do the following: ▪ Use the Audio In parameter to select the audio input. ▪ Use the Audio Out parameter to send the signal to the main Left+Right outputs.

The microphone use is very impotant to me.

Thanks very much.

Dylan.

I only know, from the manual that the PaAS can be used as stage monitors in conjunction with external speakers, but probably this doesn't answer your question?

Also from this Forum:

Bill, I actually like it that way. If needed, you can use headphones or earbuds for monitors while not defeating the line out sends. Would be nice if it were selectable though, as on Audya.

Hi all,
Can you please help. I have the built in Pa4x speaker...

I have Pa4X and there is not a built in speaker.
Could you explain more about this built in Pa4X speaker?

Personally I use QSC K10 as my Pa system and I am happy with it.

I'll bet you are, you just need to be a banker to afford them

I am not a banker but just a simple hard worker musician and here in US you can buy anything by monthly payment.

I use the Yamaha's Stagepas 500 set that gives me the best sound I have experienced until now (on the budget) for my PA4X other than my studio.
I think any good PAS will work fine if you follow a good advice, in my opinion, and that is that you set up your PA System in your home or studio and program your sounds and performances with the PA System and your studio simultaneously. The first time I brought my PA into my studio and played through it the sound was horrible in comparison with my Genelec studio monitors. I think this is a normal scenario in all cases because the PA4X has its own mastered mix that not always coincide with your studio (or home) setup and your PA in the same way. That way you'll be working on the "real thing" that's coming out on your live performances. Once I did that I tweaked a little my custom sounds and performances and get them to sound really pleasant in both studio and live situations.
