Hello

After a kronos freeze I had to switch OFF and ON the keyboard to be able to use it again.

Do you know some character sequences (like CTRL+DEL on windows) to realize a "clean reboot" of Kronos in case of freeze or if something goes wrong ?

In the same way is there any "panic" function to cut all midi notes in case they don't stop ?

If you plug a USB keyboard in, Ctrl- alt- delete does in fact work.

However, switching it off and on at the power does essentially the same thing.

Interisting ! This is not mentionned in the manuals. I will test it.

Nevertheless, as I mentionned to Oliv73, we must be cautious and always wait a bit after an operation before shuting down.

Is there an official way to connect to kronos by SSH to run some basic unix commands ?
i saw some informations on internet but i think it was very "non official" and by the way I don't think it is very safe ...

@ Liviou2004 : we didn't think about an external keyboard Smile

i)

Don't hold your breath. The OS/progrmming is IP. Korg is not going to open the door for scripting by users, etc.

Over the decades, Korg has likely spent hundreds of thousands of $$$ developing and implementing there IP.

I understand but they could have set some basic command in a nutshell for specific operations.
We sometimes do such things on operating server to allow some users to do some task in case IT administrators are not available .

Yeah !! I'm using this USB Qwerty KB for entering some texts as in Setlists, and so on. But never imagine to enter CTRL-ALT-DEL !!

the only door that can be opened is for Service, AFAIK.

There is a service manual somewhere. But I don't know what commands are available in Service mode

A service manual for Kronos 1 and X is available here : https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&ved=2ahUKEwiM6KTGoJDeAhWMyoUKHav1BXgQFjABegQIBxAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.markpenny.ie%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2017%2F03%2F273600278-Korg-KRONOS-Service-Manual-v2-0-2012.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0pVLguXSKJWRrFkj1H-EDQ

There is a test mode indicated page 35. I don't know if it works with K2.

Well, I just tried the two things :

1°) Coming from Service manual, the sequence [Mixer Knobs+Reset Controls+Enter+2 (or +5)], enters a check menu ,in the K2 too. (see Service Manual)

2°) The sequence CTRL+ALT+DEL, from the USB keyboard causes only a black screen and a white error message asking the user for turning the Kornos Off and back On after 10 seconds.
