|
|
I am trying to create a simple arpeggio of octaves.
Using an AL-1, I've assigned the AMS1 to step seq for both oscillators in the "pitch eg/Mod" section.
I then go to the Step Sequencer and input my values.
The arpeggio works however I would like the Filter eg to reset for every note. So if there is a slight swell in the attack it is there for every note, not just the first.
How can I achieve this? Any help would be very much appreciated! |

The step sequencer only puts out a single stream of data. In this case you’re using it for pitch. So you’ll want to find another modulation source to control filter envelope reset. A tempo synced square LFO should do nicely. |

This video covers what you need to know https://youtu.be/JePVk79Q4Wo

You can use the same step sequencer to both trigger envelopes and make a melody.
Reviewed the linked sources:

-Qui's video doesn't go over how to trigger envelopes via the step sequencer.

YouTube has an auto-translate function. While far from perfect, it did help me out.

-Phin's video doesn't cover the math behind the +25 mod intensity.
-For some reason this and Qui's videos use the common step sequencer which isn't per-voice.
-You don't need to use Gate1+Damper on +99. Just use Gate1 on any positive value above zero.
-He's modulating the filter with the common LFO instead of triggering the filter envelope via the step sequencer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89yIJGIvYhs
-He sets the pitch mod intensity from the step sequencer to 24 instead of 25.
-Again uses an LFO to trigger an envelope instead of using the step sequencer.
Looks like my video is the only one that actually explains what you want to do. Too bad the audio is so poor because of the software I was using at the time. _________________ paypal.me/CharlesFerraro |

Thanks guys! I managed to do what I needed by assigning the EG reset to a square LFO. I very much appreciate all of the input! |
