When using styles from older korgs ie the Pa3x are.the Keyboard Sets assigned from ones that are already on the Keyboard ?

Yes
So it can work OK but possibly some will be "pot luck" and might need some changes.

I migrated my PA3X live performance SET as a DIRECT set and it worked brilliantly with very little editing required.

I can confirm that, all STSs that come with factory styles from PA3X (and most other PA's) work perfectly OK in PA4X.
Sometimes sounds from the 'Legacy' collections are being used, but you can of course alter that.

Unfortunately compatibility from a PA3X Songbook to PA4X is a different story, quite a mess to be honest.
It took me months to get things right. Same case as when I went from PA800 to PA3X.
I hope that with the upcoming PA5X this will go a lot smoother, but I'm afraid it won't.

I was just wondering as using the keyboard sets from styles is a good way to build your own library of keyboard sets.
