I'm looking forward to buying the package that comes from Berlin D Piano, but I'm wondering if it really is the best!
The Berlin D Piano, is it so good that it's worth the value?
Or do I get a good result with Japanese and German Piano? _________________ Korg Kronos 61

Acoustic pianos are not a beauty contest. Or a popularity contest.
Mostly subjective/opinion.
I like all 3. All 3 sound excellent in my recorded songs.
I have a slight preference for the Japanese grand.
Why not d/l the Berlin demo ? _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

I downloaded the Berlin Grand Demo
I liked it, but the sample time is little and it's bad to test.
Maybe I do not know how to edit very well.
I'm really in doubt ... _________________ Korg Kronos 61

The Austrian Grand and Berlin Grand might both arguably be described as being better than the Kronos German Grand, but it is all so, so subjective. |

I agree- the demo 'time out ' is stifling.
But its a simple matter to listen to the detailed
recordings using Berlin and Programs using Berlin.
That should get you through- assuming you have an ear
for detail. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

I have not checked in a while
But the Korg shop should have on line sound demos for the
" New sound pack " and the Berlin

It really is highly subjective and also depends on the style of music you’re doing.
I have the Austrian in addition to the Berlin/German/Japanese. I come back the the German most of the time. For exposed or solo piano, the German does it for me hands down.
The Japanese works for me when I need to cut through a mix. The Austrian and Berlin sounds just don’t do it for me. Having played and recorded on a Bosendorfer, the Austrian was a particular disappointment. For me the Austrian doesn’t add anything that the Japanese couldn’t do and the same for the Berlin and German.
My opinions are my own. You may hear it very differently. _________________ Kronos 2 88, Kronos Classic 73, PX-5S, Kronos 2 61, Roli Seaboard Rise 49 |

If you mean that the decay times of the Berlin are shorter than the other piano sounds, that's true, but to me the shorter Berlin sounds are more natural, more like a "real" piano...I think people have gotten used to artificially extended decays in sampled pianos...that being said, I do like the German tone the most, and if I played in loud bands, I'l probably use the Japanese more, to cut through the mix...

My experience has been the opposite. The decay on most digital pianos is much shorter than an acoustic piano. It's very noticeable on some of the passages that I play where bass notes are held for extended time while playing treble notes.
The Kronos has complete note samples rather than looped waves. Most digitals have shorter sustain to cover the sound of the loop. The Kronos is the first digital that I've played those passages where it sustains more like an acoustic. _________________ Kronos 2 88, Kronos Classic 73, PX-5S, Kronos 2 61, Roli Seaboard Rise 49 |

I've recorded a few excerpts some months ago with the Berlin grand. The piece below is a slow classical one, so you can hear long notes (decay/sustain) and also how crescendos/decrescendos sound with the Berlin (especially during the last minute in this video). It is by far my favorite acoustic piano on the K2. Hope this helps you evaluate.

Amazing playing and sound KK ! Thanks for sharing !
This is a great demo of our loved Kronos !
The sound is pure with simply a reverb to figure the concert room.
Great !
