Generally most pianos sound good in the mid register. We can all agree that Lows and highs are the most problematic parts of most virtual piano libraries. That becomes a problem when you want to use the full range for solo works. Pianos suite 2 addresses a number of issues which makes the soundset suitable for solo performance.
Within the first 30 seconds, I quickly realized this library is NOT as forgiving as the factory pianos. I do have my favorite factory presets but I play them more with a keyboardist mindset than a pianist because certain expressions are not really noticeable. With Pianos Suite 2, you get to dig into the keys and think like a pianist! It does change the feel, and direction of the melodic/harmonic content as well, because you no longer have to purposely avoid certain notes to mask tonal fluctuations and dynamic inconsistencies between various velocity layers. It's a very balanced piano across all registers. It feels a lot more natural to play an acoustic piano after playing this than factory pianos! For everything else, I could say more for natural attack, sample duration, various FX properties....or just play and share some demos. I think it's far more helpful to hear what a library sounds like than to read someone's opinion.
Here's Part 1 featuring German Concert Grand:
I'll share a few more over time for those who are interested. Maybe I'll even use them within a composition to see how it blends with other instruments.

Italian Concert Grand - WavesArt Pianos Suite 3 (Not to be confused with Korg's official Italian Piano)
This is a short demo at a slow/moderate tempo. This is my most favorite piano of the whole package so far. Most people will either love it or hate it! I can usually handle a piano even on a super cheap controller, but this one really calls for a nice keybed that you can dig into! It's the least forgiving piano of the bunch as well. It won't let you get a way with a sloppy performance. In other words, if you sound good on this, you'll sound good with any Kronos Piano for sure! It does remind me of Keyscape LA C7 in a way. _________________ Sam
WavesArt Italian Grand is a separate standalone EXs and also a part of new WavesArt Cinematic Bundle of 12 GB.
Pianos Suite 3 is the upgrade of owners of Pianos Suite 2 when purchasing Italian Grand with a minor extra cost and new PCG/KSC files.

Excellent playing, very nuanced, Sam. I agree, the Italian Grand seems like it is very responsive to touch, and has a bit more open sound. Thanks for the demos!
