I have the SQ-1 running with Logic. As it stands, connected via USB, the SQ-1 will only start if Logic's song position is from bar 1. And it will not loop - ie if Logic's cycle is on the SQ-1 stops after the cycle has completed.
I'd like to be able to cycle with the SQ-1 and start from anywhere in a song.
Is this possible?
What about if the SQ-1 is slave to a Volca device? |

Hi,
Not sure on Logic + USB + SQ1... The midi implementation is not 100% clear on this. I also can not try this at home. My guess, it has to do with System Realtime message for Start and Stop. Also maybe if Logic is in stopped mode, it does not send any clock anymore to the SQ1, which basically stops then.
Concerning the SQ1 slaving to a Volca. Works like expected. The SQ1 follows the tempo of the Volca and can independently of the Volca be started or stopped.
It may become more complicated if you try to slave the Volca as well to Logic...
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
