Everything on this original song is the Pa4X. The orchestral patches were created by PAX Magic, and I highly recommend them.

The style is Vintage Pop 2. Horns, strings, and choir were added on separate tracks in Cakewalk by BandLab (previously known as Sonar Platinum, and now FREE).

I used iZotope Ozone for sound mastering, and iZotope Nectar 3 on the vocals, which I sang. I created the video with PowerDirector.

Rosco, I just use it like a digital audio recorder. MIDI communications between Cakewalk and the Pa4X for recording have been unreliable for me. I understand what is supposed to happen, but often the Pa4X hangs up and I have to reboot. I finally surrendered and just went with a simpler solution: record as audio.

I create a backing track, and then add tracks to it.

Glen, that was outstanding! Never seen so many Santas at one time. Smile
Love the sound and arrangement, and the vocals were perfect.
Merry Christmas!

Hi Glenn,
I create a MIDI file on PA4x and save on USB.
I then import the MIDI file into Cakewalk from the USB and it appears as 8 individual tracks.
When I play the MIDI file on Cakewalk , no sound comes out my computer speakers?
Any ideas?
Regards, Ross

Rosco,

Now you will have to read the manual and understand the Pa4x MIDI. It is too much for me to teach you the basics here. It is the reason that I stopped trying to use MIDI with Cakewalk and with the Pa4x. It takes a bit of reading and learning. And sometimes it still doesn't work as reliably as I wanted.

I CAN say that you will want the Pa4X to be a Player. Look in General Settings/Midi.

That's as far as I can go in a forum message. Good luck on it.
