By the way, if you get into recording, a 57 will work just fine (a 57 always works), but I found that the Sennheiser e906 was an excellent match for the Vox.

It's very 57-like in nature, but also captures some sparkly stuff on the top end that highlights that exact same characteristic in Vox amps.

I have an opinion after +2 years of steady song writing [+40].

Consistent song writers, who did deep, conceptualize , then create seem to be a fading breed.

I am not actually referring to the laptop musicians, software musicians who duplicate new songs almost every other day . With strong production values.
Its a valid approach , of course. They do sound good. Don't shoot me on this approach. Feel free to inform me.

I notice that song writers have done impressive work on movie soundtracks, TV shows ( not ad jingles] etc etc. I recognize the musicianship, the craft, the talent.

Other than that application, I prefer a different, involved and personal approach.

Anybody out there ? Very Happy

Last summer, I wrote a song on this, Garage Sale to Nowhere. Sort of long at 6 minutes. Might be worth a listen esp the last 3 mins.
