I . There are a lot of Kronos owners that would more than likely quickly upgrade to a new Korg workstation with significant improvements added to current Kronos capabilities.

Agreed. For me, it would have to be ' significant '.

If it was merely ' incremental' . Such as mostly cosmetic, a different case/color
and some new sounds, different internals, I would not be as moved.

Back to ' significant'. I would like Korg to maintain compatibility with sound programming and file format. I believe Yamaha did this with Motif and Montage/MoxD. For example.

To quote an overused cliche, that makes it a Win/win.

I don't think there will be a big announcement this year.
Remember : the Prologue was first teased in October 2017 for the Namm 2018 !
On another hand, the new Minilogue is already announced for the next Namm 2019.

So, I'm afraid there will be nothing for our Kronos.

But, sincerely, if we see the huge capabilities of the Kronos, does it really matter ?

Who is really use the huge possibilities provided by the AMS Mixers, for instance ? (it's just an example).

The Kronos SE has been announced - details elsewhere on the forum. Guessing the SE "spec" will be offered as an upgrade eventually.
