Hi, I'm new to the forum so thanks for having me. Sorry if this question has been asked before. I noticed the Minilogue has no target for amplitude on the lfo section for creating tremolo efx. This seems a bit strange. Next to filter lfo, I find amp oscillation is an important textural modulation for programming many sounds and creating evolving pads. Is there a workaround? Am I missing something? Is this achieved somehow by using the shape target? Am I the only one who thinks tremolo is pretty important in a synth? Thanks for any help. Question

Welcome!!! I would suggest to modulate the cutoff frequency... Is not the same but it works for me on the monologue..

Wow that is a serious oversight. I've had a look at the signal flow and there's only envelope available for amp modulation. No way to modulate the mixer levels or the program level. And looking into the Prologue, the same is true there. No rotary speaker effect to take it's place on either the Prologue or the xd that can do the job either. Tremolo is a key effect in my mind also and can't fathom how it could have been missed.
Hopefully someone has worked a way to do it, but I'm stumped.

I think I figured out 2 solutions:

Best Solution: The XD has 16 slots for user modulation EFX (as well as 8 slots for delay + 8 slots for reverb)! Using SDK I can create a multifunctional tremolo unit or download one from another developer. Other than User delay and user Reverb, the 4 efx types (user/mod/rev/dly) can be used at the same time (not sure if there is a routing configuration).

Second Option: CV - There is OCS Volume assign for cv. Its per escalator but should be able to get them to modulate both osc amplitudes together w/sync (not sure about third osc).

Now that you said that, it came to my mind that actually you can use the motion sequencer and modulate vco levels!

Ya, someone mentioned that to me on Youtube. Its a workaround for sure and this way you can change rate for a random sine wave lfo effect. That being said, its only good for a sequence, not for an overall texture to the sound profile which is quite different. For example, if you create a fast rate amp lfo or tremolo efx, then seq a slower tremo over that, you end up with a nice evolving texture that is rather simple in its creation. But using your seq idea, you could seq one vco one speed and another vco at another. So ya, that is a good way to achieve some tremolo indeed!
