It was a humorous reponse to 19naia's suggestion of warping space time :-)

Seriously, though, laminate flooring is just a thin layer of wood, as little as 7mm thick (15mm max), overlaid on an underlay of foamed polystyrene, or felt, which has quite a bit of "give" in it i.e. easily pushed down. In normal use, people don't really take much notice of how much it can deflect, but pushing it down in one place pulls the surrounding laminate laterally towards the deflection point, resulting in the microphone stand picking up the movement, and amplifying it through its long levers.

Spreading the pressure from the wheels of the piano stool, by putting it on a flat piece of wood ~1m square, ~15mm thick, could reduce the problem. If it does, then it could form the basis for a more permanent solution, with some suitable edging to stop the stool from rolling off.
