Hi all,
this message is just for your information and I hope could be of interrest for some of you.
Today my brother who has an AKAI EWI USB came at home and we connected his wind instrument directly to one of the USB connectors at the Kronos back panel.
This worked like a charm.
Kronos directly was able to reproduce all the fine grained expression of the wind intrument.
Very impressive.
Very Happy

This Kronos is really a beast.

I hope this will help.

Cheers.

That's interesting. In wonder how difficult it it is to play the AKAI EWI USB controller?

I think it will be difficult for a keyboardist to play the EWI because it is suited for wind instrument players.
My brother is a saxophonist so he has to learn a bit the key mapping which is not identical to a "real" sax but it is quite easy for him to play now on the EWI.
What is amazing is the result which is smoother and more expressive (vibrato, growl, sustains) than of course with a keyboard.
Subject to follow on Very Happy

Cheers

There's something wrong here, it plays a Cm7 chord along with any note and no expression so far...
Can you show us his EWI configurations? Thanks
