Polite reminder - this topic is ONLY for reporting any potential bugs with OS V3

Any wishes/opinions/suggestions etc will be removed - please keep these in separate topics..

I want to keep this as a clean bug report topic for Korg.

No offences to anyone - please re-post if you find things removed.

Thanks for your co-ooperation.

Strange behavior in styles. I have style that have acc 5 set as perc and it play different sounds (not in drum banks) on acc5 in different style elements. When i switch between style that have acc5 set as acc (as default) to this one, acc 5 play different sounds from drum banks in different style elements, not original ones that was set and writed for that style. In style play mode original sound set is checked, and when i press it off and on again, it start to play correct sounds. If i set for acc5 track same sound for all elements, it's play correct then. Also if i switch to that style from style that have also acc5 set as perc, no problem. This worked fine in previous OS2..

Which Korg-supplied style/sounds does this relate to?
Please give an example (style-name etc..) otherwise it cannot be checked out/fixed.
If this is from a USER loaded set then please follow it up in a separate topic.

Cheers

It is USER style and USER sound, but that should not act in this way. It is a bug. In previous OS it worked as it should. I tried to describe the best i could, i guess that korg programers can simulate same situation to try to solve this.
Best regards Smile

This is how it is in V2
It is "quick record" which creates a regular sequence where you can do all the finer adjustments.

See Page 336 in the latest V2 manual

This is quite a detailed report.
I notice that the page images are coming from the PA4X User manual but in different mode sections (not the Quick Record section) so these images do not necessarily apply.

I have to use this feature again very soon for a song-writer I am working with and am trying to establish really if this is a bug or wish for a change....

The idea is that you set up a style the way you want it to play (hence record) - this means adjusting all the volumes/pans etc and getting it close to right - this can always be re-edited in the SONG sequence. Then enter Record>>Quick record - record your song - this is designed to get a "background" for your song - possibly a complete solution if you get everything correct from the start. But if you are wanting to "record" volume changes and pan changes as you go, then Quick Record is not the way to do it.

Reasons for my confusion with your posts above:-
your picture above from page 158 of the manual in the SOUND SET Editing section does NOT relate to Quick Record mode.
your pictures above from pages 211/2 of the manual in the STYLE editing section also does NOT relate to Quick Record mode.
your picture above from page 149 of the manual in the CUSTOMIZING KEYBOARD SETs Editing section does NOT relate to Quick Record mode.
your picture above from page 125 of the Quick Start Guide has been edited by you and does not match the manual - you've edited an image and text from page 158 in the USER manual into the image.

Sorry, but this makes your post incredibly confusing for me and maybe others.

I haven't tried to Quick Record yet in V3 but as far as I can see right now everything looks similar to Backing Sequence from previous versions.
I don't see any bug here BUT will confirm that when I get into my recording session.

Cheers

Pete Very Happy

Hi all,

I think there is really something wrong with Quick Record.
In this mode I can't use the Track Select button and I only see the 3 uppers, lower and mic.

When i stopped the recording the 4X totally freezes.

It is not possible to save the song and it is also not possible to leave the Record Mode.

I had to switch off the 4X and restart it.

Ben
