This is really making life unpleasant when trying to record with a Sub 37 – the Prologue receives CC messages on Channel 1, despite having main and sub channels set to 2 and 3.

It means that if I try to twiddle knobs on both the Sub 37 and the Prologue simultaneously, then messages meant for the Sub 37 go to some unintended destination on the Prologue. If I twiddle EG INT on the Sub 37, it alters Voice Mode on the Prologue. Among other things this means I can't automate the Sub 37 without the Prologue received what might as well be random gobbledegook without switching "Receive CC" off on the Prologue.

Anyone think that Korg will grace the Prologue with another firmware update, like, ever? Or was that it, did we get one year's worth of support that was largely targetted at the tuning issue?

I have my prologue set to channels 1 and 2, sub37 on channel 3. No overlapping and no issues in my setup.

That's a good solution for this setup.

Still, rgarner is right IMHO and this is definitely not the way it should work.

Not any singe function in a modern synth should be fixed to channel 1, because as soon as more than one synth shows this routing inflexibility, you have a problem. And channel 1 normally is the place, where everbody and his brother meet.

Thanks Nick. I agree with Jim, this isn't how it should work, and I've been putting off trying it your way because all my Logic templates are set up for Prologue 2, Sub 37 1.

I may find I have no choice. Post-tuning issue further Prologue updates look uncertain.
