Hi,
Where and how to install the"New Resourses Set"? I it necessary?

That SET is in the ZIP file and can be loaded without necessity of OS v 3.0 installing

If you've performed an OS update fully with the factory restore then you do not need to load this file.
This file is for anyone who wants the new styles in different locations (banks etc)

Regarding the musical resources set.
As understand it there are new styles within the v3 os which, if I do a factory restore, will overwrite those I already have in User favourites.

To overcome this I think that I could load v3 but not do the factory restore but pick up the new styles/kB sets etc from the musical resources file - is this correct?
If so, when I load these new styles I don’t think it will give me the opportunity to choose the specific slots I want so how can I choose?

Hey Bob

If you perform a clean full OS V3 install and include the factory restore step then you will have all the new sounds and styles - many new styles have been added to the factory banks and a few have been put in FAVORITE banks 1 & 2

So, yes, FAVOURITE banks 1 & 2 will be overwritten

You can of course copy those new FAVORITE bank styles to another bank or note the NEW style names, overwrite the FAVORITES with your backed up SET then you can later selectively load all those NEW styles from the supplied Resources SET included in the update - note the this Resources SET has ALL the new styles and remember that several of these are already in the factory banks - so don't waste style bank space by accidentally doubling up.

You can load STYLES individually from any SET and select any style destination (Bank and slot)
Do this in MEDIA>>Load
Select the SET and OPEN
Select the STYLE folder and OPEN
Now you will see all the individual styles...
Select one and LOAD
Now select your destination bank and position....

(If ever you want to overwrite a factory style you need to unprotect factory styles first)
