reached a dead end then - Admin please delete post
Hello friends,
I just had an idea that came to mind. A couple of years ago I purchased the full licence of FM TINES from Jamal Hartwell at Gospel Musicians as that was the beginning of wanting to try and replicate a specific E Piano patch i've been after for years.
There's lots of great DX7 FM presets in there that have already been worked on and they don't make this product for Kontakt only UVI.
Does anyone know of a way to sample patches from UVI Workstation for the Kronos ?

Do you own UVI Workstation?
If so, you can sample it yourself, create a multisample program, and import it into the Kronos to play whenever you want.
Or for $88, you can buy Sample Robot Korg Edition and it will do it automatically for you.
If you can provide a link a demo of Jamal Hartwell's EP sound, I can try to program it in MOD-7. No promises, though, I'm just learning FM programming and take this as a welcome challenge. |

Brendan,
Even though you own UVI Workstation, programming a MOD7 patch could be better than sampling it then importing to Kronos. It'd be more dynamic, and less of hassle.
Listening to the isolated e-piano clip you provided, there are a couple stock programs that might get you 80% there for now.
User B-002 Custom E. Piano Knob5,6
User F-000 Harmonik E.P. Knob 5,6
Those bank numbers are from the first generation Kronos, they might be different on yours.
Turn knobs 5 and 6 while playing to dial in those metallic overtones.
Then if you add a Stereo Exciter/Enhancer on TFX1, it gets pretty close to 90% of the video in parts. |
