Hi all, I'm having an issue with my SV-1 where the output levels seem to be quite low - I have both balanced XLR outputs going straight into my KRK Rokit 5 speakers and my playing is only really audible when the Master Volume is turned up to or near maximum.

I've also tried plugging the unbalanced jack outputs on the SV-1 into a small Behringer mixing desk, but even with everything turned up to maximum, the levels on the desk seem to be lower than you'd expect.

Have I missed something obvious, some kind of setting maybe? Is there any way this can be altered? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried digging into the settings on the software? I had to go in a tweak a few on mine to get all sounds to be equal volume.

No I hadn't tried that but I've found that all sounds - even the louder presets - seem to be quieter than you'd expect with the Master Volume turned up to maximum, and I was just wondering if there was a way to increase the output level somehow or even if there was a fault with my keyboard...

Do you have a pedal connected to the SV-1? Do you have MIDI connected to it?

Regards,

Jerry

What mixing desk is it? Does it expect a -10dbV or +4 dbU signal?

The mixing desk is a Behringer Eurorack UB502 and I'm not sure what signal it expects - I had a look in the manual and couldn't find anything either! Ideally, I'd like to use it without a mixing desk if possible.

Did you solve this problem? Nine years later and I experience the same problem: Line-Out is good, XLR out has a very low output level. What is my problem?

take your SV-1 to a tech... i had the same problem with weak output (XLR went first, then the 1/4" started going intermittent... then i used the headphone jack for a year or so.

had to take bunch'o'gear in for tune-up, had the SV-1 taken care of first; tech replaced 4 capacitors that were causing my audio out problems.
