Volca Drum -- tutorials ?

I just bought a Volca Drum, after watching lots of videos and reading reviews. It seems to make interesting sounds, and there's enough freedom in the sequencer to keep me busy.

I own a microKORG XL++, and the manual for that is reasonable, IMHO. Korg's Volca Drum "manual" (two 8"x11" sheets, as I printed it) is organized "button-by-button", and leaves out a whole lot of detail. It's going to be very difficult for me to go from:

. . . "I want to set up a new drum kit"

to actually doing that, using what Korg provides.

I expect to start by gently modifying the factory instruments and sequences. But I'm going to want more than that:


. . . Is there a _function-oriented_ tutorial document, or a good series of videos, that will help me?

. . . Is there an approach to learning this box (or other Volcas) that I should be using?

PS -- I'm OK with programming the microKORG XL++. I spent decades doing computer programming and system design. But I'm 73 years old, and "just play with it!" isn't my usual learning style.

chek Cuckoo on YouTube, he has long and well explained tutorial.
To be honest you should learn what the stuff does and you won't need tutorial anymore

check Cuckoo on YouTube, he has long and well explained tutorial.
To be honest you should learn what the stuff does and you won't need tutorial anymore

That's how I'd learn a new synth -- "from the ground up" --

. . . start with the oscillators,
. . . . then learn the filters,
. . . . then learn the VCA and modulation capabilities . . .

The VD has things like the "waveguide resonator" -- different than I've seen before, and not explained in the documentation. Probably better explained in Cuckoo's work, or loopop's work.

Yeah but you probably learn the stuff without think about it if you do you don't have to search either.
Resonator what it let you think? Something that repeat close and it resonate, it has Body, Decay and Time which are common delay parameter in fact it's a super short delay, super short delay make sort of metallic sound, done!
I probably know half of the stuff you know I just analize stuff!
