Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I installed version 3.1 and sometimes the ending 1 doesn't work well.
I've never had this problem with version 2. I use the same style, I play the same chord sequence but sometimes when I finish the song it sounds like the wrong chord. First it was ok.
Did the same thing happen to someone?
Sorry for my English (google translator). |

ok, i noticed this also a long time ago ,don't know if it's been fixed already in 3.01 but on Version 3 it happened all the times when i tried .
When i use filter search on songbook, right after i create a new mp3 songbook entry (from my HD),it stucks.
Not in the usual way we know, you can still find the entry you search, but when you press on it nothing happens, select marker seems to stuck on each entry i try to select.
what i do :
1)create a new songbook entry that contains the mp3 i want to use, save it tlc.
2) go to FILTER and perform a search of any title in songbook.
3) select the title you chose.....see if it works or not
Feel free to try it and post the results here.... _________________

OK - I think the Chord Sequencer (CS) needs more configuration parameters.
If you create your own CS and play it back etc.. when you press ENDING1 how does the CS know which chord you want for the ending?
In your example "Dm-G-C" you might want the ENDING to use Dm or C or even some other chord - the CS has no way of knowing that.
There is no current way to define this and I think this has been the case since the CS was introduced.
The CS feature is evolving....I am hoping that Korg will include CS editing on the keyboard like the backing (quick record) sequencer.
But right now, there is no logical way this will be any better.
I would love the CS to support the vocal harmoniser too like in STYLE PLAY....
Cheers

I think the feature that needs adding to the Chord Sequencer is a 'wait until Variation starts' command and a 'return to start chord' for Endings.
You always put in the initial key when starting an Intro. This is usually the same chord you use for the Ending, at least endings that have changes in them. I suggest that the CS go to this for ALL endings, but it can be overridden by actual human input, for the endings where you play the changes.
Now, there might be an issue with songs that don't start on the root...
Perhaps this could be solved when you save a Chord Sequence by text entering the key with a field for first chord if different..?
I guess, when you think about it, the question of Intros and Endings is quite complex! Perhaps it's better to skip the issue, and simply have the style trigger the CS after the Intro plays, and then allow a text entry of chord to play when Ending is started? That would solve the issue in the vast majority of cases.
I definitely think Chord Sequences with Markers could be used to automate intros and endings at least on specific styles (because style Intros and Endings vary too much for one CS to work on multiple styles), simply use the last Marker for the Ending chords, and the start of the CS for the Intro with a Marker for Verse1 (in case you want to jump back to it!).
Thinking about it, I guess Markers is the solution to all these problems!
And a Link from Marker to Division would automate cueing the Ending Chords AND the correct Ending for them.
Problem solved! |

If it is only about changing chords,
then of course you can use chord sequence,
but if there must be specific melodies, tuttis, breaks,
phrases,or basslines ...
then i am afraid chord sequence is not the solution.... _________________

Hi there,
let's say that I have a normal Dm, G7, C chord sequence.
When I'm on the C chord I press the ending 1 to close the song, and instead of keeping the C it select an (odd) Dm. Even changing to C I cannot be faster of the machine so for a brief moment the Dm can be heard.
I'm sure that the version 2 was holding the C, since I used exactly the same style (no editing done) and it was absolutely ok.
Don't get this with other chord sequence so cannot guess what's going on ?!?!
Can anyone confirm this problem? Is this a bug?

Yes - this did change.
Personally for the better but I repeat "Personally".
Previously the ENDING1 when playing a chord sequence mostly retained the last chord playing in the sequence BUT not always.
Now, it predictably uses the first chord in the sequence.
Until we are actually able to edit the chords, I think this is at least "predictable" if not necessarily desirable.
Not a bug as such as there is no documentation on this from Korg - so unfortunately right now, it is what it is....
Cheers

You can create a chord sequence in the step quick record part of sequencer mode. Then import the SMF to the ending and as long as your note transpose table is set right it will always start properly _________________ Ari Pearl Music

Indeed - but unless I have misunderstood the OP the issue is how the ENDING1 handles a Chord Sequence - this has changed in V3
Cheers
