Has anyone tried this? It is compatible with Pa4X, Pa3x, Pa1000, Pa900, Pa700...

4 GB of new sounds, 770 sounds total, with their own 256 of polyphony, but supposedly automatically integrated into the standard operation of the Korg as if they were just more built-in sounds.

They also make two other versions, with even more sounds, for less money (450 euros, or a bit less at Thomann)... but they are just regular sound modules, which don't integrate as automatically or as fully as the Korg-specific model.

Looks kinda cool either way. I think it's the only way to get 4 GB of new sounds even this cheaply, other than maybe using a laptop/tablet/iPhone. Compact, operationally simple, presumably rock-solid with low latency as dedicated hardware generally is, no mess of wires/adapters etc. as some of those other solutions sometimes are. Even if you were willing to go with a second keyboard to get whatever extra sounds you might like, you can't get a keyboard with 4 GB of sounds at this price either. But the operational integration right into the Korg itself is an extra appeal for the Kommex I think. The big question for me is, how good are the sounds? 4 GB sounds great, but size isn't everything.

A bit premature to discard this unit offhand as it won't be available until August.
I have gone thru a number of youtube examples and I must say they sound quite promising. Of course 590 euros is not peanuts but then there are 750 sounds available and 375 of those have been incorporated in the user Soundbanks of the PA1000 ( 700, PA4X) for direct access.
