Ive got this Yamaha Motif/S90ES on my kronos now, and for free (Thanks to Cedric) he explains the procedures. Sounds very different to the normal kronos pianos, and are useful for “in the mix” types of music.
He even throws in MKS Roland E-piano.

I thought when i loaded them in, it was going to sounds “OK” “good-ish” etc, but you could be forgiven thinking that its like a new SGX from korg. Follow instructions carefully though.

Thanks for the reminder, AnthonyB! I'd forgotten that I downloaded Cedric's file a couple months ago and never got around to installing them.

The S90 is nice and clear and powerful, really very good for a 3-layer piano. There's a mistake in the Program though -- you'll need to change the bottom velocity of MS3 from 000 to 001, otherwise it won't sound.

The MotifXF8, despite having 12 multisamples, is not as playable. Although there's plenty of material to tweak. I imagine Cedric had this one in mind when he was saying to use an EQ and the stereo exciter.

The Motif Classic Power Grand also has 12 multisamples. It sounds remarkably similar to the Kronos Jordan Rudess Japanese Grand.

Don't forget about the Piano Body/Damper IFX to put these pianos inside a "cabinet".

Many thanks to Cedric. These pianos are indeed SGX worthy.

jesmanuel Contact programmer Alex Sandro at alekesrs@hotmail.com.
He sampled and programmed a Yamaha Grand Piano patch for me a while back for a fee and I am very happy with the sound.
It is one of my go to AP sounds when I want something different than the standard Korg samples.

I'm sure he can send you the patch he sampled for me.

You can also find him on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/alekesrs

Hope that this helps.

I've always loved the pianos on my S90ES. Are Cedric's files still available?
