I can record a MIDI track with my Prologue and plays software synths with it as a controller. But it doesn't work the other way around, it doesn't play the midi signal going in to the Prologue. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I have tried with USB and the traditional MIDI-cables. I have tried the midi via my Apogee Duet and also straight into the computer. I have made sure that all the Global settings in "button 6" is turned on.

I am a rookie when it comes to synths and midi, so it's probably something easy...

In my experience it's more likely to be the software side that's the issue. You don't say what software you're using, but a year or two ago I was where you are and these are the things that tripped me up with Logic Pro X:

- Are the MIDI channel for the track and external instrument plugins the same as the Prologue?
- Is the track you're playing selected and/or armed?
- Have you set up the audio in to your Apogee correctly and do you get measurable output?
- Not related to your problem, but usually, you should play with Local Control OFF to avoid MIDI loops

I hope there's something approaching a clue in the above Smile

Thanks for your input, I solved the problem by using and old school midi connection, straight into the computer (via an USB-converter). I had done it before, but probably forgot to switch the Prologue from USB only to Midi. It works fine as long as I do that.
