|
|
Hello,
I would like to know what brand are refered in the following Kronos effects :
1°) Guitar Amp Model + Cabinet
2°) Bass Amp Model + Cabinet
3°) Vintage Pedal effetcts.
The only named brand is Vox. I suppose there is Marschall perhaps Orange or Fender, too, but not sure.
Thank you. |

This is a great question, I'm very curious to know this as well. I can guess on some, but I think there are probably more experienced guitar players who can nail all the brands.
Tweed = Fender Twin
Tweed 4x10 = Fender Bassman?
UK 70's = Marshall
AC = Vox |

Thank you KK.
And do you know what's about guitar and bass cabinets. I have looked for cabinets references, starting from amps references you gave above, but I didn't find.
and what about effects from 189 to 193, do you have any idea ?
Thanks a lot. |

Much appreciated, esp since I'm a bass player first. But I grew up not knowing gear, and only recently with Talkbass forum and getting a Zoom B3 bass amp modeller.
I barely use the guitar sims, but I do use the Bass Amp Model and cabs a lot. It does make a very noticeable difference which cabinet is used when you have subs in your system. |

Here is my little montage for the answers about the pedals. This to show how the Korg drawings are quite accurate to the originals.
[/]
Small Phase – Electro-Harmonix Small Stone
Orange Phase – MXR Phase 90
Black Phase – TC Electronic TC XII B
Vintage Chorus - Boss Chorus Ensemble
Black Chorus – TC Electronic SCF
EP Chorus – Dyno-My-Piano Tri-Stereo Chorus *
Vintage Flanger – MXR M-117
Red Compressor - MXR Dyna Comp
Vox Wah – Vox V847
* Quite rare. Were installed on Fender Rhodes EPs. See this video to hear the original : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MeYj8xs4eU |

On my pic for the pedals, you can really appreciate how Korg has great attention to detail. I should have some more time soon to add the cabinets. |

One wishlist item hardly mentioned on a next-gen Kronos is the ability to swap out skins, or have a basic/intermediate/advanced mode. Custom graphics would be awesome.
The stock pictures that you can swap out are mostly orchestral or traditional. If you audition any EXS but don't activate it, you still have access to that graphic to use on your original HD1 programs, but those are watermarked with the EXS#.
I'm sure that Linux guy who hacked his Kronos found a way to load his own custom graphics into the code. |
