Hello,

I hope someone can help.

Does anybody happen to own or know how I can get a set of the Korg i30's internal styles that I can use on the PA900 or PA1000 keyboard? A lot of these styles are still among some of my favourites styles around.

Thank you very much indeed.

Hi Danster

I still use i3 and i30 styles on my PA4X - I agree - they were amazing!!!

Here's my zip comprising all the internal styles from the i3 and the i30

Have fun!!!

Hi Pete,

Thank you ever so much for your download link, that was very kind of you.

I have gone through the and I can see many of the classic styles that I remember from the i30 are there, but my favourite one isn't, it was called Underground, a kind of Funky House type style which I have yet to hear something similar elsewhere so it's a shame it wasn't there but I am very grateful for what was.

Thank you again,
Danny.

Hi Danny

I seriously do not remember that style but I'll have a look again.
Are you sure it was a factory style?

Cheers

Hi Pete,

Thank you for your reply.

Here's a list of all the i30 styles

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/686303/Korg-I30.html?page=169#manual

There were quite a few i30 styles by the looks of it. I do remember most of them but not all. But I certainly remember Underground and a few other dance styles are they pretty much blew away most other keyboards dance styles of the day.

Hi Danny

Yeah!! Don't know what I did with my SET - I must have not included all the styles - I had never realised that - sorry!!!
Oh NO!!! If you look in my SET you'll see I have included "Progress" twice!!! I bet that's where I went wrong saving them - of all the styles, I left out the one you want!!

Try a post of your request in the i30 section of the forum (i-series)

Cheers

Hi Danny,

I am currently using a PA4x but I still own an i30. I've dragged it out today, set it up, and it does contain the "Underground" style that you're looking for. The only problem is that it's so long since I used it I've forgotten how to "save" styles. I've looked through the manual but it doesn't seem to cover it. I know it's possible because I've done it before. I just need a little time to fathom it out.

I will get it for you (eventually) but if anyone else comes up with it in the meantime please let me know. It will save me blowing a fuse in my brain.

Regards
Don

Hi Don,

You are a gent, thank you for your reply.

I have since been given the style from another forum member called Fran, another true gent. In terms of the style itself, I now have it and it sounds bloomin great still !!! Didn't need much tweaking, just the drums, bass and piano, the rest was already sorted.

Thank you again for the reply. You are so lucky to still own the i30, I wished I still did, for me is still one of the best arrangers out there even for it's age, and I actually preferred it over the PA80 which is what I changed it over to, the PA80 was great as well though but the i30 sounded fuller to me as wasn't until I owned the PA1x that I could say yeah now we're talking!

All the best to you,
Danny.

Tell ya what, Danny, I still like the keybed on the i30 over the Pa1xPro I had, and over the Pa3x I currently play. Smile
