Everyone loves free :D

This is the long awaited BOT PCG from legendary Jack Hotop.

Most of his programs on BOT are a nice improvement over the same titled programs on Kronos.

Its cool that his PCG covers both Kronos versions, the original K and the K2.
Sterling documentation, too.

Yes that was a very nice surprise today to see that too and thank you korg for that and the people involved in making it.

Thanks for the kind words! I had a blast creating the KRS-08 KARMA & Drum Track assignments, which differ from the Triton, Krome & Kross versions of these sounds. The best way to check out the grooves is to select the EQ/Vector & Pads tabs when you turn On KARMA & the DT. There are 8 different KARMA Scenes, and 1-8 goes from simple to complex. I recommend using a Korg nanoPad with USB-it's easier than pressings the tabs every time. Don't forget to mess with the Switches, Ribbon, & Control Knobs. Take your sounds on the "variation journey".
Please also check out the Fazoli piano option that's on sale. I love this piano option, and I had a lot of fun creating the 32 programs.
Keep the faith! I'm planning a few more free options with Korg, and we really appreciate your comments & support on the forum!

Thanks to Korg and to Jack. I have some ver. of "Best Of Triton" from 2014. I opened it and I notice that it is a same sounds like in KRS-08. I still didn't compare sounds. Can somebody say to me, what is the difference. Maybe Jack can answer to my question? I am not sure who made a version from 2014., but if I am not wrong, one member from this forum named Loren. Thank you again for this collection, I really appreciate this. Best wishes to all Kronos lovers:

In fact I used those presets and changed the Italian Piano for the Berlin Grand engine and they sound better than the factory presets from my K2 :)

Hi Jack, long time admirer of your keyboard skill and programming.

Its cool you voiced the Italian and did some new programs [would have liked more for the IG !].

I am directly in your Kronos audience that enjoys all your extras, Karma, scenes, on your program work.

I have been posting or nagging for more Korg level { your level, for example]
programming on Kronos for a few years.

I hope Korg lets your creativity and skill run wild on Kronos. I will always appreciate your talent.

Yes, I think you are right. Someone from the community did a BOT from 2014 [ ?] . And it got around.

Here's my process:

copy[not write] in entirety , Jack's BOT and play the individual Programs.
Find the similar program names, and do your own " A vs B "

Then you can decide if Jack's work is an upgrade to whatever is the factory program, or the BOT from 2014.

I found that Jack's BOT effort was stronger and more interesting. For most programs, I eventually 'over wrote ' the older Program version. And enjoyed Jack's programming.

Of course, you can copy/load/write Jack's BOT to a bank. His doc is excellent.

Loren released a Best of Triton PCG that he hand converted from the version I did for the Krome.
I noticed that several Multisamples didn't match, some weren't start adjusted properly, and some FX assignments weren't correct (Compressor, etc.). There weren't any control assignments for Knobs, and there were no KARMA, Pad and Drum Track assignments. I did side by side comparisons with the Krome version I made to make sure that the sounds matched closely to the original Triton versions.
Here's a link to a few demos I created for this library.

Great stuff, Jack. Will these work in the OASYS?

Thanks so much, and congratulations, Jack. I'm really enjoying auditioning the Triton sounds direct from Disk mode. There's some great non-Hammond organ sounds, and a lot of the basses really have character and oomph.

Overall, they seem to have more presence and beef... I wonder if that's due to a lower sampling rate (12 or 16kHz)?

The most important question, though, is which one of these is closest:

93. Virtual Traveler
118. One Note Stories
121. Hemispheres

Play this chord: B4 C#5 D#5 G5. Guess what that sounds like! \:D/

Sorry, the OASYS can't read Kronos PCGs, but the Kronos can read OASYS PCGs.
93 Virtual Traveler, 118 One Note Stories, and 121 Hemispheres are some of my absolute favorites - and I really love the new KARMA & DT assignments which add a whole different vibe compared to the original Triton programs I created. Of course, they do sound the same when KARMA & DT are set to Off. :-)

I auditioned everything direct from Disk mode, since I still need to cleanup and rearrange programs to make room. I'll have to checkout the KARMA & DT settings once I do.

The Traveler and the other sounds to my ear get close to the Star Trek transporter sound.

Jack (and Korg), thank you very much for your share, and to Jack for detail explanation about differences between yours and Loren conversion. I tested 96. sounds from your bank, and many of them are great.
I wish you all best in your future work and your music.
