Hello,
I have a problem on a Pa4X synth.
Sometimes it runs but sometimes only the power light is on and I have a black screen.
I've tried to test the HD with HD sentinel, I've tried also to change the HD (formated in exFat) but it's only the same problem.
When I let the synth about 3 hours, it runs... but when I run it when I've just use it, sometime no run routine... only a black screen !
Have you an idea where's the problem ?
I have inspected the main Power Supply, it seems to be OK !
Have a nice day, |

Hi Musella
Please get your PA4X-76 back to your retailer for replacement or refund immediately.
Nothing like this should ever happen.
Good luck

Thanks for your reply,
I have a question :
What's happend when I put a new HDD ?
What's happend if I unplug the HDD ?
Is there a procedure to put a new HDD ?
Is it like a computer ? The OS is in the HDD and without HDD the synth cannot run ? |

I think all pa4x 61 or 76
will run or boot up with a Hdd in them ..
if i take out the battery and the HDD it should trun on or bootup .and if it will not .
I would try one more thing .. try to install the OS againg ... hold down the intro button and power on buttons and if you do not get a screen there to update ...
Then do what karmathanever tell you ,, take back NOW... don't wait... |

The HDD is not associated with boot up or OS - it is purely a storage drive.
e.g. a PA4X-61 will run with or without an HDD
Many have changed their PA4X's HDD to SSD - there is no OS on the disk.
Why are you talking about plugging/unplugging the HDD?
Do you own the 61 or 76?
When talking about HDD I am hoping you mean the internal HDD
You can of course connect any external HDD (via USB)
If you are asking about the installation of HDD, the procedures are in the PA4X manual and also you will need an HDD installation kit for the 61-key model.
Incidentally, the battery is purely for the clock - will make no difference other than maintaining date & time.
Hope this helps

Check the LCD display cable. It may just be a loose flex cable. The LCD Display Flex cable can be accessed from behind the screen and the smaller cable is the touch screen while the larger one is the display. The boot has nothing to do with the hard drive and therefore would not be affected by hard disk change or reformat. _________________ Ari Pearl Music
