Korg Bonus Styles Question.
I have downloaded all available so far Bonus Styles 1 to 37.
Is it possible to select from each of the Bonus loads the ones I mostly wish to use so I can have my own favorite loads.?.

If you have an empty bank of user styles you can't setup the Bonusware vol x as a direct set you can then copy the styles you like to the empty user style bank. It does mean you have to re assign the next Bonusware style vol as a direct set an so on until you get to vol 37. You can then save your user bank as its on style set.

Did you mean to print CAN and not Can't ?

Reply appreciated.

You can load a single style into the desired position. Simply open the SET in media, select the style and load. The destination will be prompted for Smile

Bonusware is odd, some ask where you want to save it to but the vast majority load it to user 1 position 1 onwards if you load them all at once.

Load them one by one and you can specify where to save it to in the user banks.

Downloaded all Bonus Styles 1 To 37
A few folders require renaming as the .SET is missing.

When I load Bonusware to sample the styles, I usually open the Set folder and go down into the style folder itself and load that folder (or individual styles) into an unused bank in my User section that I designate for doing nothing but sampling new styles. In my case, I use User Bank 12. When I find a style in that bank that I loaded in from the Bonusware that I like, I copy and paste it to another location in my User banks, according to its genre. I then, after sampling all of the available styles in a particular Bonusware style set, I delete them from User Bank 12.

I may not load the entire SET itself with compatible programs and such, but the PA700 does a really good job at assigning sounds for the styles.

I do not want to load a new SET into my PA700 and then have to load my original one back in every time I am done sampling new things. The styles are what I care about, so that is what I load.

My 12 User Banks are as follows:

1. Nursing Home Stuff 1
2. Nursing Home Stuff 2
3. Rock/Blues
4. Soul/Funk
5. PA500 Baseload 1
6. PA600 Baseload 2
7. PA1000 Styles
8. Ballads
9. Praise Music
10. Band Stuff 1
11. Band Stuff 2
12. Open (used for exploring styles from Bonusware and other offerings)

It works well for me.

Grace,
Harry
