Hi Folks,

I've had this problem before - (see my first post 4 years ago)

It concerns the 'No more than 10 midi devices' situation.

I managed to solve this 2 or three times, however this time all my Midi devices have been dropped and when I try to install the Kronos it registers on Midi 10 & 11.

I can't see how to get it into slots 1-9.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Best wishes all

Jeff Wraight

Korg recently a new USB driver to address the Windows 10 update and this new driver will recognize devices past the limit of 10:

https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/driver/1/285/3541/

There is an alternate fix that works by editing the Windows registry:

https://thedigitallifestyle.com/w/index.php/2019/04/23/fixing-korg-usb-midi-driver-issues-in-windows-10-may-2019-update/

Either one of these should get you up and running again. :)

Hi 'Hardsync'

Thanks very much for this.

I already installed the driver to no noticeable effect, but I'm going to work through the second link that you kindly sent.
Too much on for the next 3 days but I'll do it Thursday. Until then I'm using midi leads to get the Kronos working with Sibelius & Cubase.

Best wishes

Jeff

Hi 'Hardsync'

This is also for anyone else who has experienced this problem.

Well,I had a bit more time today than I expected so I followed the 'Digital Lifestyle' video & pdf.

It was a bit more complicated because my midi1 and midi2 slots were in use by my Graphics (audio section) & MAudio Delta Soundcard.

However I created 2 more - midi3 & midi4.

Whoopie the korg driver found midi4 and is now working.

Thanks for your help. This has been invaluable.

Best wishes

Jeff
