That sounds very "suspicious" - I wouldn't risk that!!
Who is selling them at that price?

That is a very cheap price for the USA
Sweetwater have a 76 key at $4100 and a 61 key at $3900?
Meanwhile over the Atlantic
Here in the UK 76 keys is equivalent at $3050 and 61 keys at $2800
Quite a difference _________________ Biggles

Usually our prices are at ripoff level compared to what items cost in the USA
So its good to see them better in the UK than they are in the USA _________________ Biggles

There is a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) that the manufacturer allows dealers to post. That doesn't mean you have to pay that. There are dealers that will give much better prices. _________________ DonM |

I would, personally, support Aripearlmusic’s viewpoint. I bought my Pa4x76 brand new, when they were first released, for $2800 (tax free, from a Korg Authorized dealer). So, am somewhat surprised/bemused, when I see people/companies selling them now for $4000+. I guess, that it is worth shopping around and not automatically accepting the typical large/chain music store markups.
Best wishes,

Prices in the US assuming you can get closer to wholesale would be between $2600 and $2800 at the smaller stores. Australian pricing could be an easy $1000 more and in Israel the prices are beyond rediculously expensive. Advertised prices in the UK are also quite high _________________ Ari Pearl Music

Back on the subject of depreciation...
Anyone tried to buy a mint Yamaha CS80 lately? Or a GX-1? Mint condition Minimoog's are commanding more than new prices (adjusted for inflation), a whole bunch of vintage modular stuff (Buchla's etc.) is sky high.
Arrangers, OTOH...
But maybe hang on to a PA4X in mint for 60 years, who knows? Once upon a time, you couldn't get people to take a TR808 off your hands for free. Then hiphop and house happened.
You never ever know..! |

There is one here in my house for sale for $2500. shipped. Very light use and in great shape, with all updates. Never had a glitch with it.
It belongs to a friend, but it has been in my studio of the past 18 months.
The only use it has had was by me.
Seems like a fair price for me, but I already have one. |
Is that unit still available????? |
