I lost all of my add-on data when I upgraded OS1.1 to OS 3. Those data in User
were there when I bought my Korg Pa4x last week. Now those data were deleted (I forgot to save). Is there anyway to retrieve them? I have not done the Factory Restore when I updated to OS3.
Pleaes help me. I really need these old add-on in User |

You have fallen into the trap so many have and not backed up correctly or not even backed up at all
A search of the forum will reveal many such cases.
Sadly your own data is now toast.
There are two routines to perform:-
1 Backup, which does what it says and enables you to roll back the keyboard (many have done just that when a buggy update is found)
2 Perform a Save All, now this is the KEY to restoring your own data.
Process to update your OS is to undertake 1 and 2 above, then perform the update, then go into Media and navigate to the location where you saved the file as a reult of performing the Save All routine.
Select said file and Load it.
Now all your personal data will be written back to the PA precisely as it was prior to the update (well that is the theory).
This has worked for me OK with three different updates.
PS
Save the Backup and SAVE ALL files to the USB memory stick in your PA that you actually formated in the PA.
A ray of Hope - Contact your vendor for the user data you quote as they may have it in a form that you can reload from a memory stick _________________ Biggles
