Is there a setting in the Kronos to do this?
I've noticed some software pianos that don't support half pedaling behave poorly when using my Korg continuous damper--is there a setting somewhere to have it simply send 0 and 127? Something I could toggle when I want to use one of those pianos? |

You could possibly plug the pedal into the foot switch and assign it to sw1 or 2, then assign that to cc64. _________________ The companions I can't live without: Kawai Acoustic Grand, Kawai MP11SE, Yamaha Montage8, Korg D1
Other important stuff: Kronos2-73, Studiologic NC2X, NI Komplete Ultimate 11, Sonuscore Elysion and Orchestra, Pianoteq, Experimenta Due. |

The setting is within every program on the P1: Basic/Vector screen for HD-1 programs or on the P4: Basic/Vector screen for EXi programs. Lower right corner. Uncheck it to disable half-damper. Check it to enable half-damper control. There isn't anything in combi mode or a global assignment, afaik.
Because the Kronos automatically senses if a half-damper pedal is attached, one thing you could try is to pull the cable jack out just a bit to thwart the tip of the TRS connector. I'm not going to "recommended" this but I just attempted this on my M3 and checked to see what happened in SEQ mode, and it was a binary switch (0 - 127) instead of giving the intermediate values I typically see with half damper.
Edit: Maybe you could also try to calibrate the pedal in Global mode to get less half-damper response? |
