|
|
I am improving over a groove box and sending MIDI out from XD to groove box to record MIDI output and also add additional digital voicing.
However, I want groovebox to manage the clock, and as soon as I use XD keys it always takes over tempo and clock. Anyway to disable this from the XD itself? |

Hi!
What kind of groove box do you have and have you connected midi our from the groovbox to midi in on the XD? _________________ ASM Hydrasynth, Roland Fantom 7, Korg T1, Korg Kross 61, Korg Krome 73, Korg Wavestate, Korg Minilogue XD, Korg Opsix,

Good question - Groovebox = Synthstrom Deluge. I do run Midi out from Deluge to XD and always keep that connected. Then if I want to use the XD Keybed I'll connect XD back to Deluge as well. |

If Midi doesn't work, maybe you can connect a sync cable from the Deluge to the XD and set the XD to sync from the sync input?
From the Deluge manual:
"If you wish to use the Deluge as a syncing master to send a trigger clock signal to other devices, gate output 4 can be set to output a trigger clock signal, and / or gate 3 can be set to output a “run” signal (goes high while playback is occurring; low otherwise)" _________________ ASM Hydrasynth, Roland Fantom 7, Korg T1, Korg Kross 61, Korg Krome 73, Korg Wavestate, Korg Minilogue XD, Korg Opsix,

You're amazing, thank you so much!
For those 2 people who months from now will be scouring the internet seeking very specific usecase answers for this... we've all been there one time or another..
His answer is right. Gate 3 out to XD Sync In, switch settings CV > Gate3 > Run. Then set MIDI > Clock > In > Off. Finally setup channel, select Learn and press down an audition pad while then sending XD midi note out.
Great thanks! |
