Hi all

I have never used the Ensemble feature on my Pa4X or Pa1000, ashamed to admit it. Looked at manuals today and held down SHIFT/pressed ENSEMBLE and played around with the dropdown menu. So good that I have made a start.

Can you guys please say a few words on the ENSEMBLE and how you use it regarding settings to suit your kind of music. Styles and Songbook and any other tips. I hope it might be of interest to others on the forum.

Thanks

I use ensemble a little but in specific songs - rarely use more than a duo/trio harmony though.
I would love the ensemble feature to have a "humanise" option like the vocal harmoniser.

It's definitely OK though.

I use it fairly often on band type and orchestra arrangements, but, like Pete, usually not above duo or trio. Stings and brass do well for a full ensemble sound, but full chords can become too muddy.

Thanks Pete and Bernie

Today has been the best ever on my Pa4X due to my last couple of posts here and your help.

1 MAXX EQ settings. I know now that my default settings were rubbish. Non existent, some bits not even turned on. I learnt how to create a dropdown list and experiment with different settings. I did a search and used Jonyblues stuff plus printed Pa1000 EQ settings as a guide to play around with. The difference in sound is amazing, like a completely new keyboard.

2 Ensemble. You both helped here. Played lots of songs with various settings and the results were great. Wrote on the sheet music which ones suited. Every time I play a new piece now it will not take a minute to try a couple of ENSEMBLES.

I cant believe the difference in sound quality with just a few tweeks. But we need to learn this so thanks both and the forum.

PS Pete I am in daily contact with my relatives in NSW and Victoria regarding their safety. Here in the UK it is the main news item. Worried about the wildlife too. Glad you seem ok at the moment.

Take care
