Korg
can't make more money ,,untill they make a new keyboard .
and if the pa5x had a new ..
newer cortex a15 with the newer c66 dsp cores
20 gig os sample
a more visually appealing UI
* New / updated Samples / Voices (they increased memory but never released any Sound packs???)
* Vocal Harmony tracking and Score display for MP3 / WAV tracks ( ala Yamaha Chord Tracker)
* Freeplay styles
* More powerful Looper / Chord Sequencer
and all of the wish list ...
yes I would get in line to buy it ....
if it had half of the wish list ,, I would buy it ...
cant wait to see
of korg might just give us one thing from the wish list ...

Maybe this is also a glimpse of how the new flagship will look like!
I think it will be released somewhere in 2020 (just my feeling, no source). |
Absolutely nonsense
Thats just an overhauled pa1000 for the midfle eastern market
Korg Lebbanon is to my knowledge not a part of the big KORG
They excell in software overhauls but are a3rd party _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.

When Korg announces it - it will be real - in the meantime ignore all rumours.

That's the voice of experience, folks. Over the years we've heard all sorts of rumours, seen various bad photoshop attempts, etc. as each new model was announced. The new one will be ready when it's ready, not a day sooner.
Be well, Pete. Hope you're safe from these horrific fires going on down there. _________________ When I nod my head . . . Hit it!

Thanks Giner, we have been spared from the fires so far.
It's pretty bad though and many very traumatised families.
Hope it all ends soon.
Take care

Hello all,
I have bought my pa4x in may 2019.
I have paid €2750 for it. I guess it’s a good price?
If there comes a pa5x this year, is it always worth the upgrade and how much could i get for my pa4x?
Like before you would sell a pa3x and buy a pa4x.
I guess there comes out a new top arranger in 2020 from korg but i just want to know if i would send my mind on it, or just stay with my pa4x.
Maybe it’s a little soon to think about those things but i’m just wondering.
What was the price when the pa4x came out?
Cheers,
Bart |

My Korg pa4x cost me 4300 US dollars, 7 months after when it had been released. _________________ Korg pa5x vs Genos 2 - spec comparison |

I was chosing between the Genos and the Korg pa4x.
I tryed them in a store. Next to eachother out of the box.
I liked the Genos much more in the beginning, everything was right when i clicked 1 setting. Everything was perfect...
Still i bought a pa4x. Because i know it was more difficult and would be harder to learn. I have it nog for year and i dont even know for 30% what i can do with it... and a lot of things i made betther the then “out of the box good Genos”...
I think all is about tweaking in de pa4X. Even the 3 band (bass middle and high) means a lot to an instrument.
I dont regret i habe bought the pa4x but i was aware in the beginning it would be hard. I come from an Roland top arranger G-70. It helped me doing everythin for more then 10 years... but now it was time for something else.
I’m just annoyed about the bugs...
Probably i can do so much stuff i don’t even know...
Ohh and... i didn’t really looked to the manual.
I do my gigs with the 2 man band alot and i just sorted
It out myself to make us ready.
I have the pa4x for allmost a year...
Im looking forward to 5x too... but yeah. Would the cost will be worth the upgrade?
Cheers

...only if it has a safe external holder for my wine glass
Your feedback is interesting - thanks.
I actually hope Yamaha eventually break away from the "Tyros" OS and get some real competition out there.
I played Yamahas for years and loved their keyboards but Korg broke through the barrier and came up with the first professional arranger (i2/i3) 25 years ago and still lead the professional arranger world with their PA models.
I'm not sure I am looking forward to a "PA5X" as I really can't think of much that would excite me - it would have to be a major technological change before I would consider. A faster CPU, USB 3, and more memory would do absolutely nothing for my music - so, it will be interesting to see where Korg actually goes next.
Cheers

My two cents about this thread. I think the real limit of every existing arranger, at the moment, is that they basically sound "false". Let me explain: sounds are very good, rhythms are great, everything is great but an expert listener can recognize in a second an automatic arranger. The real next step imo is to create something that sounds more "genuine", maybe varying a lot in real time the instrument lines or inserting some "controlled mistakes". A faster cpu or more realistic tones will for sure improve the overall quality but the first brand who will achieve a true realistic sound, something you can't tell if it was played by a band or by a machine (speaking about a "general" backing performance, not solos or the specific sound of a famous band), is real going to change the game forever. |

Perhaps include some more "humanisation" options - it's not the sounds, it is about how they are played/recorded - I would love to have Roland's behaviour modelling technology on both my Korgs - some very innovative design there since and including Roland's Jupiter-80 and possibly before - my Inegra-7 has it (one of many serious reasons for getting it).
Cheers
