As siebenhirter says, all the style cells on the PA4X can be used/changed etc....
To have 1872 style cells available is more than enough for me.

It's not a secret, one have to remember however that altering factory cells is not recommended as firmware update procedure could erase important user data stored there unless special measures have been taken in advance.

Sounds convincing, but i still prefer to see more generic styles in factory style cells than "1 style=1 song" ones.

Pa instruments are well equipped to let anyone decide for themselves how to organize it according to personal preferences.
Everybody feel free to organize data according to different needs.

Carelessly forgetting to back up user data before a firmware update also is fatal for users who have not used the factory memory for individual changes.
Who decides to include also factory-memory into data-organization should also know what data has to be saved before a firmware update with unlocked factory-protect.
Probably each carefree users struggle with data loss who ignore the consequences of a firmware update, but regardless of how the storage of data was organized. _________________ kind regards

I guess if you are using all 1872 style locations then it is a problem.
I think it is harder for those who like to have a dedicated song styles, in which case, they will need 20,000+ style locations (and well organised)
More importantly for me, I would love a "simple" style/sound organiser tool from Korg but not critical.
Take care

For me,
Everyone can play any song using any style that match on tempo not necessary on feel, but that will be just another cover, and not the actual song.
I remember me having an arranger just in case, stored in a suitcase,i had used it maybe some months when i was 22years old about ,i never used arranger or needed till now.
I used to work with bands of 8-17people ,where everybody plays his part,
not worried if singer misses something or add something,we could catch them on the fly.
No worries about anything almost.
I promised to myself that if i ever had to work with an arranger,it would sound as good as a small band at least .
Having for example just one Standard16beat style to play so many songs is just silly.
Having 60 Standard16beat styles and don't remember which one works for every song,or always missing feel or parts of the song,or anything ,
or even if all are working but none is close enough to the song you perform,is not an option for me.
So i prefer to change factory styles or create from scratch styles that are dedicated to specific songs, so it's not boring playing with the same flat styles.
Also,as you know, some songs have been famous for their rythm or bass melody or a riff.
I think it should sound like that too...otherwise you can use a raeggeton and play any song you want nowdays .
So now,for the simple things that i specific need,i have to spend time building it on arrangers .
I believe you do the same.
So,for me,working with styles and songstyles, not only English ,but Greek as well,Style locations is a big issue.
I use two double sets for each, one User+Direct set for Greek which is totally full right now, and another one User+Direct for English and all Korg's bonusware styles.
I wish i could work with all of them since sometimes they ask for both English and Greek.
Korg still has locked the LOCAL banks .
They could be used as a Direct 2 set if they decide to unlock them.
They could unlock the banks tabs and add even more
They could do so many things, but it is just marketing for them....... _________________
