If you set no EDIT STEPS, and then go to either SLICE, or ACCENT.
Pressing FUNCTION 10 (Random Pattern) will crash the drum.

Found this out as I generally do not use any steps, due to external triggering from a TT-78. And Edit Step would just be a double trigger.

Any patterns that have EDIT STEP will not crash.

Running the latest Dec 2019 firmware.

I consider this a bug.

I may have just done this, my brand new Drum is locked up, buttons do nothing. I had JUST did the func play system update, now I can't even turn it off and both my Drum & Sample are unresponsive.
Funny I have owned all 3 original Volcas and never had this happen. Beats & Keys usually voted least useful of the series, but those old analogs were such beasts they could take all kinds of abuse. Now I have Drum & Sample, 1 brand new & 1 almost so, well regarded and reviewed, most babied and most gently used but both have apparently bricked on me.

If it crashes that easy, as you described, that definitely seems like it would be a problem.

So what happened? I have no sound from either the headphone port or the onboard speakers.. Can anyone help.. I have done the factory reset and update the firmware to 0114.. Still no sound. Please help
